Bill is a partner in the Lexington office of Turlington and Company, LLP.  He is one of two partners that is devoted to the firm’s telecommunications audit and consulting practice.  In addition to serving clients, Bill is the firm’s administrative partner and is responsible for all the technological needs of the firm.

Since joining the firm in 1989, Bill has been serving the needs of the firm’s telecommunications clients.  He continually tracks developments in this highly technical industry in order to provide the highest quality tax and audit services.  In addition to his telecommunication responsibilities, Bill serves a variety of clients as a tax professional.  Bill’s experience in individual, partnership, and corporation taxation enables him to work with both individual and business tax clients.

Bill graduated from Lenior-Rhyne College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.  He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 1989.  Bill earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina in 1992.

Bill is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), the AICPA member section for Information Technology, and he is an associate member of the Association for Certified Fraud Examiners.  Bill is also a current member and former chairman of the Telergee Alliance (a national network of CPA firms with expertise in serving the telecommunications industry) Audit & Accounting Committee.

Bill is a devoted husband and father of one.  Bill is extremely active in the community serving as volunteer controller for First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lexington and volunteer Treasurer of the Edward C. Smith Civic Center.  He also is a current board member and past treasurer of Meals on Wheels of Lexington.  He has served as a past treasurer for the Lexington Swimming Club, as well.
