Education: Terry graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting in 1979. He earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina in March 1984. Terry is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).

Terry is a partner in the Lexington office of Turlington and Company, L.L.P.  Terry’s experience in accounting and auditing began in 1979 when he joined the firm. Terry serves as the managing partner as well as the accounting and auditing partner.

Terry’s experience has made him a valuable asset to clients on a wide variety of matters.  While Terry’s focus in the firm is on accounting and auditing, he is an exceptional tax accountant as well.  Terry has a vast knowledge of tax laws and is able to help individuals, partnerships, and corporations with a multitude of tax issues.  Terry also has experience dealing with estate taxation issues.  As the A&A partner, Terry reviews and approves all financial statements that are prepared by the firm.  His review has been critical to the success of the firm in releasing financial statements of the highest quality.

Terry has been a valuable member to his community.  He has served a variety of roles for Family Services of Davidson County, including Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. He has also served as Chair of the North Davidson Middle School Advisory Council, Chairman for the Finance Committee, as well as a Deacon, of First Baptist Church of Lexington, and as the Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Twin City Kiwanis Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Pastor’s Pantry and is a member of the Lexington Kiwanis Club.

In addition to his role in the firm and his community activities, Terry is quite devoted to his family.  He and his wife, Molly, live in High Point and have five children and one grandchild.  Terry and Molly attend Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in High Point.
